Playbooks are the difference between a business where the founders and senior leaders does not constantly have their arms in the "gearbox", with constant issues on all fronts, vs. one which is able to grow and prosper. "Every system is perfectly designed to get the results it gets." —W. Edwards Deming
Objectives
Allow companies to grow past their limitations. Document Tribal knowledge, via internal teams or outside resources.
Transform Tribal knowledge to documented processes. For major processes, create a "Play" with process triggers, desired outcomes, steps and checklists, timelines and handoffs.
Assure Playbooks are kept live.
During running of the business, if an issue occurs, like a customer complaint - go check which Playbook/s can be improved to assure this is fixed.
Leaders at highest levels must take ownership of the concepts in the playbooks - and over communicate its use.
Let the employees go "off-stage" to practice the playbook. Training & Development for excellence.
